Terms of sale
The terms on which AI Venture Studio sells the one-page website, the care plan and quoted work. Written to be read.
Version terms-of-sale-v4. Last updated 2026-10-14. A conventional template for a UK business, adopted as version 1 pending review by a solicitor; where it changes, the version number changes and customers on an earlier version are told.
1. Who you are dealing with
Ai Venture Studio Ltd, trading as AI Venture Studio, registered in England and Wales, company number 17456540, registered office 241A Selbourne Road, Unit 5, Luton, Bedfordshire, LU4 8NP. Email [email protected]. "We" and "us" mean the company; "you" means the customer. These terms apply to both business and consumer customers; where a term applies only to consumers it says so.
2. What we sell
The one-page website (£49, paid once): the scope on the services page at the time you order, with a working preview within 3 hours of our having everything we asked you for, and as many changes as you want before you publish it. The care plan (£20 a month): the cover listed on the services page, billed monthly. It comes with the one-page website, is bought with it as one purchase, and is not sold on its own. It has a minimum term of 12 months from the day you order, then continues month to month. The takeaway build (£149, paid once): the same one-page website with no care plan, hosted by us for 30 days after you publish it and then handed over to you as described in section 8. Quoted work: the scope, price and dates in the written quote you accept. The scope in force is the one shown or quoted when you order; the exclusions listed there are not included.
3. Ordering and price
You start a free preview without paying: nothing is owed while you shape it. The contract for the website forms when you approve your preview and pay for it, at the price shown when you started, which does not change for that scope. If you never approve it, nothing is charged. We are not VAT registered and no VAT is added. The care plan starts on the day you pay and is charged monthly in advance, the first month with the website, with a 12-month minimum term from that day. Quoted work is invoiced as the quote states, and we do not start until any deposit it names is paid.
4. What we need from you
The details your dashboard asks for, promptly and truthfully. The 3 hours to your preview start when we have them all. You confirm that you have the right to use every word, image, logo and review you give us, that the reviews are genuine and that you have the reviewer's permission to show them. We may decline to publish anything we believe is unlawful, misleading or not yours to use, and we will tell you why.
5. Delivery, changes and acceptance
You start with a free preview: give us your email, answer the questions in your dashboard, and within 3 hours of your answers a working preview of your page is in your dashboard, seen only by you and not on the internet. Ask for changes there, up to 20 before you publish. When you are happy, approve it and pay, and it goes live. If you do not, nothing is charged: we remind you after 7 and 25 days, the preview is removed after 30 days, and your answers and images are deleted 30 days after that. After you publish, further changes are part of the care plan; changes outside the scope are quoted before we make them.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Before you pay: nothing is owed and there is nothing to cancel. You can stop at any time. An unpaid preview is removed 30 days after it is ready, and your answers and images are deleted 30 days after that.
After you pay: you have seen and approved the page before paying, and paying asks us to publish it at once. If you are a consumer, the page is digital content made to your order: once it is published you have received it, and the 14-day right to cancel it no longer applies. The care plan is a service: if you are a consumer you can cancel it within 14 days of paying and pay only for what has been supplied up to then; the minimum term does not take this right away.
Our failure: if we do not deliver a page that meets the scope and you have given us what we asked for, we refund you in full.
The care plan: 12-month minimum term from the day the plan starts, then month to month. Within the 12 months the plan cannot be cancelled from your dashboard, except as the law allows: if you are a consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of ordering and pay only for what has been supplied up to then. After the 12 months, cancel at any time from your dashboard; the plan ends at the end of the month you have paid for and nothing further is charged. Your page’s files can be downloaded from your dashboard at any time, so if the plan ends you can host it elsewhere.
7. Ownership and intellectual property
Once you have paid in full, you own the page we built for you: the words written for it, the layout as delivered and the images you supplied. We keep ownership of our background tools, templates, code libraries and know-how, and we grant you a permanent licence to use them as part of your page. Third-party assets (fonts, icons, licensed images) stay under their own licences, which we tell you about. Where your page was made with the tools described in section 10, we do not promise that any part of it attracts copyright of its own, and we make no claim to exclusivity in ideas or common designs. We may show your page in our work portfolio only with your written permission.
8. Hosting, domains and after delivery
Your page is hosted on the care plan that comes with it for as long as the care plan runs. The website cannot be cancelled on its own while the care plan's 12-month minimum term runs. If the care plan ends, we hand you the files within 14 days for hosting elsewhere.
The takeaway build: we host the page for 30 days after you publish it. Before that ends we send you the files for your page and plain instructions for putting them on hosting of your own, and then we stop hosting it. There is no care plan: we make no changes after you publish, and there are no email addresses and no support.
Your own domain name: if you already have one, you keep it and we connect it to your page at no charge. We are not responsible for its renewal or for services you buy from other companies.
The domain add-on: if you ask us to register a new domain name, we register it in your name, with us as the technical contact so we can connect it, and never in our own name. The price is the registrar's price for the name plus our handling fee, shown exactly before you pay; it renews each year on the same basis and we remind you at least 30 days before the renewal date. You can cancel the renewal, or transfer the name to your own registrar account, at any time by email; if you cancel, the name lapses at the end of the period you have paid for. A domain name cannot be refunded once registered, because the registry has been paid.
9. Our responsibility to you
We deliver with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for loss of profit, business or data, or for problems caused by information you gave us or by services we do not provide. For business customers, our total liability for an order is limited to the price paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything the law does not allow us to limit; consumers keep every statutory right.
10. How your page is made
The platform builds your page with AI, from the answers and photographs you give us. Before you see it, every page must pass our automatic checks: it loads quickly on phones; it is in plain British English that a general reader follows; it claims nothing that you did not tell us; and it does not resemble any other page we have made. You then review the page at a private address and ask for any changes, and nothing goes live until you publish it. Messages you send us in your dashboard are answered by AI from our own records of your order and our published terms; where it cannot answer, a person replies. Publishing the page means you are happy for it to go live; it does not make you responsible for our mistakes, which we put right under sections 6 and 9. Our privacy notice lists the providers your content passes through.
11. Problems and disputes
Email [email protected] and we reply within one working day. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and its courts, and if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may also use your local courts.
